Google uses the DoubleClick DART cookie in the AdSense ads and Google certified ad networks on this site.  When you visit a website and either view or click on an ad, a cookie may be dropped on your browser.  The data gathered from these cookies will be used to better serve ads based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.  You may opt out of the use of the DART cookie by visiting the advertising opt-out page.

Other Third Party Advertising

Many links on Suburban Tree Hugger will take you away from this site to a third party advertiser.  Once you leave this site, you privacy will fall under the privacy policy of the third party.  You can opt out of some, but not all, the cookies in one location at the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out website at www.networkadvertising.org/managing/opt_out.asp.

Personal Statement

While I do control the ads place on SuburbanTreeHugger.com, I do not control the ads placed on my Blog Frog page or the Lijit search pages.  Although you should never see anything offensive, you may find, for example, items such as cleaning products that I don’t personally use.  When you visit the blog or store, your IP address is recorded.  If you purchase an item from the store, or provide your contact information for a giveaway prize, the information is used solely for the purpose of mailing your package.
