Charlotte Mason Scripture Memory System Part 1

by Reesa on August 6, 2011 · 0 comments

I will be using the Charlotte Mason Scripture Memory System in my homeschool this year.  My dear friend Becky shared how her family is using small binders instead of index card boxes to organize their scripture cards.  I love this idea!  Since I am starting this with a 2-year-old, I can only imagine how many times I would have to put all the cards back inside a box.

Tonight, I made the dividers for Ava Grey’s binder.  She will have a weekly verse, verses that go along with our themes, and some of the verses she is likely to hear in songs.   We are going to make scripture memory part of our calendar time at the start of the day.

I will be typing out the verses before we begin each month.  I will format them to fit the 8163 Avery labels so I can easily stick them to an index card as needed.  I will share the files on here as I type up the verses.
