January Weekly Spending Goal

Spend $75, Save $25 for bulk item/stockpile fund

Starting cash (for 2 weeks) – $200

Ending cash after week 1 – $98 cash, $3 CVS ExtraCare Bucks, $25 Walgreen’s Register Rewards = $126 net

I will replace $25 cash for this week with the Walgreen’s RR’s because I can use them at Publix.

Verdict – Success! – however Walgreen’s did help make this possible.  Since I “made” $36.42 in Register Rewards, I had enough left over for a quick dinner out last night.  I had a migraine and cooking was not an option if I wanted to get though the other events of the evening.  I really thought I would end with $40 to save.  We will have the meal I planned for dinner last night for lunch on Sunday.

(The water bottles are for my daughter’s school.  The glucose meters and some of the medicine will be donated.)

Wow, I am impressed! I rarely use coupons, mostly because I buy bulk from the co-op, but I printed out some of the stoneyfield’s coupons you linked to. Thanks! (I’m pretty sure it was your link…) I’m working on my own little spending challenge. I’ve got $200 for the month for groceries (3 adults) and eating out $100 (2 adults). I’ve really liked Mint.com for keeping track of how we’re spending our money. You have been a good source of inspiration. Definately keeping me on track.
